Vesilute (Glu-Asp) – Bladder & Urinary Tract Bioregulator Peptide

Vesilute is a synthesized dipeptide composed of glutamic acid and aspartic acid (Glu-Asp), belonging to the Khavinson family of bioregulator peptides. It is classified as the “Cytogen” for the urinary bladder — the synthetic counterpart to Chitomur, a natural bladder bioregulator originally extracted from young animal tissue.

Research has focused on Vesilute’s role in supporting bladder and prostate cellular function. Studies suggest Vesilute may enhance bladder function, particularly in the elderly, assisting with conditions such as chronic cystitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and various urinary issues, and it has demonstrated notable organotropic effects in the prostate, aiding in the prevention of abnormal cell growth and prostate enlargement, possibly by improving microcirculation. The proposed mechanism involves modulating neuromuscular signaling and acting as co-mediators released from nerve endings alongside classical neurotransmitters, with experimental animal studies demonstrating Vesilute’s ability to normalize detrusor contractility parameters in rat models with infravesical obstruction.

Due to its small dipeptide structure, Vesilute is proposed to penetrate directly into cell nuclei to interact with chromatin and gene promoter regions, offering researchers a tool to investigate tissue-specific gene expression in urogenital systems.
